Introducing Luna - Never Forget Sugar
I am still grieving for Sugar. I will never stop grieving her. She was my baby. The first of every month is hard for me. I still cry daily and snuggle up with her clone. But, I needed some companionship. So, on June 22, 2022 I adopted Luna (formerly known as Princess Oakley, or Annie Oakley). She is a 1 1/2 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Born 9/13/2020). She is very people friendly and loving. She has some aggression towards other dogs, so I have to keep an eye on her. I have to use two leashes on her, one on the collar and one on the harness.
I drove down to Dayton, Ohio and picked her up from Rescue Me. They aren’t on social medias but they are found on PetFinder, which is how I found her. I did some research and looking around. I would have loved another Westie, but they are very pricey (and well worth it I will add!). But, Westies are rarely on rescue sites. For good reasons, they are loving, loyal and small does. The majority of the dogs in shelter’s are big breeds. That is sad and though I love ALL dogs, I could not have a large dog in my apartment complex nor did I want a large dog. I am a small dog person at heart. There was a Westie mix on the site but I felt too emotional about it and I couldn’t do it. I still watch my Westie videos on Instagram.

Luna’s first day in her new fur-ever-home was 6/22/2022 she met Sugar (Cuddle Clone) and thought she was real. It was a sweet moment. She quickly realized this was something special. She knows she cannot be alone with her and she has to be nice. She has licked her nose and sniffs her when I have my bouts of crying.
This last week (July 11-17) I took Luna on some new adventures since I was on the night shift for work. She’s not a fan of rain. We had a rainy weekend here in Dublin, Ohio and she dislikes puddles. It will be interesting to see if she will swim. I have seen Corgi’s in pools on Instagram, but we shall see if Luna will be a fan. You can follow Luna on her Instagram luna_the_corgi20
Well, that is all for now. I have to watch some videos for class and grab some food. It’s almost time for walk also.
