Sugar Update
Sugar Update: I took her Dr. Kantzer vet in Marion for a second opinion. One of the doctor’s there (Susie) doesn’t see a need at all for surgery or anything drastic. She suggested Neosporin, epsom salt soak and leaving uncovered as long as I’m with her so she has air and supervised licking. She said it will heal, but it will take time and the nail may not grow back because of how it was done. It’s not a weight-bearing paw even so even if it doesn’t she will be ok. No need to submit a senior dog to surgery unnecessarily.
