court house! please help
Please help. My town is considering tearing down a LANDMARK and our courthouse to replace with a new building.
Here's the article at marionstar.com (i hate this paper, but its the only source marion has) Our mayor is an old fart, and won't let anything new or fun come here and now this. Maybe he's for not tearing it down, but who knows!!?

Here's what I want you all to do, if you can/will. email the writer on that page and complain! Its a historic building and has been a part of our community for a very long time. My mom has fond memories of the building from her childhood and it would be a shame to see it torn down. The statue you see at the top, (kind fuzzy here) has been the topic of many marion people for years. its been stolen and broken and in the news. The building is the center of our yearly Popcorn Festival. (as you see the stands infront) Pass it on to riends or whoever. They are saying they might put it to a vote here locally.
