a DAMNED fine party......
Well I had a good time in Whitby. Of course! But thanks go to thanks to Cathy and Richard, who got us an invite from Captain Sensible to a private party with the Damned, hosted by the Propaganda Agency. So last night off we went....
Arrived at 'the Wardrobe' in Leeds to red carpet treatment, and a maitre 'd' called 'Precious', wielding a whip. We were greeted with pink champagne, and drinks flowed plentifully (and free!) all night. The shots were just lined up, Fiona trying out each one. Food was delivered on silver platters, and we were entertained by the pole dancers (god that young man was limber!!!) until the bands came on.
We watched 'the Priscillas' who were fun, and then boogied until the Damned came on. We were right at the front, and I spent most of the time sitting on the stage at eye level and in close proximity to Dave Vanian's inside leg.......Sometimes life just doesn't get much better than this.
I need another cold shower now.
