I Can't Sleep

Yes, I'm still alive. Yes, I still live in the Rofo/Limerick area. A most important update (that most of you know by now), I got a cat! He is about 2 years old and just the cutest thing ever (this doesn't mean I don't still miss my Sid though). His name's Manson, and he has two different color eyes (blue and yellowish/green). He is the awesome and keeps me entertained.
I just looked and apparently it's been like 6 months since I posted. It's been about as long since I wrote in my real journal too. I don't really know why. No particular reason. I sort of stopped both of those and a lot of other contact temporarily when I had surgery around my birthday last year. I've been reading everybody else's journals though, so I'm still caught up :)
We got some serious ice here Friday into Saturday (24 hours of mostly hail and sleet), and the roads have sucked ever since. Still, I managed to honor my tix to the Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute. Truly amazing to see some of the artifacts in person (no Tut though - his mummy remains in Cairo). I've been fascinated by Egyptology for years. The canopic jars, the shibtas representing the ba, the spells from the Book of the Dead. Philly is one of the few cities the exhibit is coming to and the last stop before these treasures go home. I recommend going if you can.
On a different note, I feel lazier than most of my friends for having not gone back for my grad degree yet, but I still feel pulled in so many directions, I'm not sure what I'd get my degree in - LSW, Psy.D., M.S. psych, or law school. I feel like I'm no closer to making that decision than I was when I graduated college nearly 4 years ago. It's frustrating. I could have finished med or law school in that time. Hopefully, if/when I go back, this waiting period will have allowed me the time to make the right decision for me, and it will be truly rewarding. Until then, alas, I am probably underemployed.
