A Sane Weekend
After much stress and almost-disappointment, my best friend made it down from Massachusetts to visit this weekend. It was a "haadcooore" experience full of cd buying and burning, introductions, and lots of food. Friday, we went to dinner at a bar with a few of my friends and ended up going to another bar later to meet up with yet another friend. We ducked out early to watch movies and relax but ended up only making it through half the movie before crashing.
Saturday, we were up at a Reasonable Hour (it was not the ass crack of dawn Dan ;), it was like 10:30) to hit up South Street, where much shopping ensued, and Dan tried a cheesesteak. Saturday evening, Erin came over to watch a Dane Cook stand-up DVD with us in which apparently all that was needed was gasoline, hehe, and then Dan and I went for sushi. Then, it was time to relax, watch movies, and burn cds until bed.
Today we packed up, went for lunch, and headed our separate ways until who-knows-when I'll visit RI again. Hopefully sometime late this summer. Definitely a good weekend. My best friends got to meet, which was super important to me, so I'm happy for that. Now I'm tired, poor, contented, and in serious need of several lazy days I can use to absorb all the new music I just got. Definitely a much needed vacation for both of us.
