I think my poor old Shwiggy is finally kicking the bucket. The battery had been telling me it wasn't charging for a while, so I bought a new, genuine Dell one recently, and it's having the same problem. Internet says fixes for this problem include replacing the battery, which hasn't worked, replacing the charger (I have a second charger in my bedroom to test this theory. Still doesn't work) and update the BIOS (which I just did, to no effect).

This thing is probably pushing ten years old, and all I've done to it has been to replace the hard disk and the obvious battery replacements. Still running beautifully, it's just that I can't take it away from a power point, which makes it largely useless. I don't want to buy a new tapflop. I haven't budgeted for this shit and I like my Shwiggy =(
