Homg I love the Crows <3 I missed most of the game cos Alex and I went to see Focus (wouldn't recommend it) but got home for the last quarter and, more importantly this time around, the team song.
When footy teams win, the Thing they Do when they go down to the rooms is have the cameras follow them, then they all get in a ring and sing the team song. Typically it goes like this:

BUT TODAY they made their ring down on the ground, at the edge of the field, so that there were two or three fans as part of the ring AND the whole of the crowd behind them singing it too. OMG I AM SO SQUEE. I hope this is a thing they do every win ♥ It was frigging adorable. I love these boys. They are SO much for the supporters, I swear. We are so totally the 19th man and they're so, so good at not only remembering that, but emphasising it at every opportunity.
I LOVE THE CROWS.
Now have yesterday's Oakbank picnic races in
pictures:
Welcome to Oakbank! Typically it was FREEZING to start with, though very pretty, and then warmed up to become perfect by about entrée. But we're not up to entrée yet.
First comes a champagne breakfast with caviar and smoked salmon.
Lunch entrée! Thai pork and green mango salad with quail egg. If I invite you to Oakbank, you don't say 'no' ;)
Mains! Filet mignon as barbecued by Dad, amaaaaazing mushroom sauce and peppercorn sauce by Mum, and I was on veggies this year. Zucchini, sweet potato and white potato chips with paprika and cumin seeds, and onion with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil, all done on the barbie. I also had run out of sundried tomatoes the night before, so I used the oil they'd been in instead of just regular olive oil. They were awesome ♥
Dessert, which I forgot to take a photo of while it was on my plate, whoops. Orange cake with orange syrup and mascarpone (my favourite) and chocolate, almond and pear cake with raspberries and strawberries on the side.
Sometimes there are horses. Idk why this photo flipped. I couldn't actually see the phone screen at the time beyond black patch = ground, slightly brighter patch = sky, so I couldn't tell. Oh well.
Tadaaaaa
