B necklace
This may have been asked before...I apologize in advance if it has.
My question is about Anne Boleyn's famous B necklace. Now, I have read conflicting views about when various paintings were done of Anne - either during her lifetime or after her death. If the paintings of Anne that depicted her with the B necklace were indeed done after her death, then it would stand to reason that the necklace may have in fact never existed...
Anyway - are there any references that speak of the necklace? Is there any way to know if it really did exist or not?
And if it did, what became of it?
