I don’t read the Buffy comics, though I do read reviews, recaps, discussions and any panels I can find. I’ve heard about and/or seen most of the Spuffy panels from #8.
I would love to see Spike get some sincere romantic love from someone worthy. Not another Harmony, please, as horribly hilarious as their relationship was. If the worthy someone were Buffy, that would be great, but I'm not holding my breath.
Ooooh, yes! Definitely no Harmony type. It was funny at that time, but he's moved waaaay beyond that.
Spike could hold his breath, but I'd rather he didn't.
Hee!
it's possible for Spike to move on without bashing Buffy or trashing Spuffy. Unfortunately, I don't think the present writers will be able to pull that off, and we'll get a lonely knight off questing instead. That idea has its appeal, but Spike's already been alone for too long!
If you take what Allie says at face value, they may keep it respectful. I'm hoping for that much, at least. But, yeah, I think they'll give us the lonely knight. They don't care enough about Spike as a character in his own right to do anything else. I think he's really more of a prop for Buffy's story than anything else. Too bad. There's so much potential there.
