Famous last words...
I may have to go MIA again for a bit. Hope not, since I'm enjoying being back, but my rather old laptop has suddenly started making a periodic clicking noise. Sounds like a camera shutter going off, only not as soft. It's a hard click. And very loud. Not sure what it is, but googling indicates it could be my hard drive starting to fail.
If that happens, it may be a little while before I get another. My dad's cancer has come back and he's having surgery again next week. Doctor says he'll be in the hospital for at least a week afterwards. I'll be taking off work to stay with him like I did the last time. Prayers and good thoughts would be very much appreciated.
If I do wind up offline, I hope to be back in time for my seasonal_spuffy posting date, which is October 17. If I'm not, you'll know why.
Going to stop on my way home tomorrow to pick up a flash drive and try to back up the important stuff.
