About that thing…
Well, when I posted the last new chapter of Marking Time back in September, the plan was to write straight through to the end of the story and get it wrapped up by the end of the year. As usual, Life had other plans.
Found out my Dad had cancer, and my Mom got sick at the same time. Things got challenging for a while. But God has been good to us and my Dad’s prognosis is excellent. Mom is still up and down, but doing better overall.
No writing got done during this time, but I had the next installment almost finished so hopefully I can get the latest chapter posted soon. When I signed back on to LJ, I wasn’t sure who would still be here and who wouldn’t, since interests and time commitments change and people tend to move on. Skimming quickly through my flist, it makes me happy to see that most of you are still here, still soldiering on.
I have to admit that 2010 will not go down as my favorite year. It’s been hard in a lot of ways. But good things have come out of bad, and as difficult as it’s been at times, it was never more than I could handle. God has blessed me with a wonderful family and friends, and for that I’m truly thankful.
So to all of my LJ friends, I wish you a very, very happy and rewarding New Year. Here’s hoping brighter things lie ahead in 2011…for all of us.
