I've always been a great technical writer, and I legitimately enjoy writing essays and research papers. When I came to college, I capitalized on this skill, and may have received hefty payments to help the lazy/students who had very heavy class loads. I haven't done this in a long time. Admittedly, not out of a sense of academic integrity, but laziness. I was offered yesterday to "heavily consult" on an art analysis essay for a sum that I consider robbery. I don't really want to do it, but I need the money to get furniture for my new apartment (I'm a waitress, and work has been extremely slow), and Daisy needs a grooming appointment!
Now art, you would think it would be relatively easy. For me, this will most likely be the hardest paper I've ever written. I haven't taken an art class since I was 13, and my writing style is very formal. I honestly told her I've never taken art, and I can't guarantee a high grade (I was hoping she would change her mind). The girl that I'm writing the paper for admitted she just didn't want to do it, it's due on Tuesday, and that's why she's offering me a very large sum for a short assignment. She's not too concerned about the grade my writing would get. She just wants me to do the heavy work, and send it to her by tomorrow night so she can go through and put in more "artsy stuff".
If Daisy didn't need her nails clipped and fur trimmed, I would not do this.
