Let's talk
So this past weekend I went away... except that I really just went to the retreat center on campus... with some friends and about 50 people I didn't know. See... Jess and Kris are always doing these churchy things and I've never really been into it. This time I sucked it up and went because I needed to get "off-campus" and away from you-know-who. And let me tell you... it worked. It was almost like bike tripping, except without the biking! The people were so awesome and we all got so close in a short amount of time. I feel so positive right now. I feel like I'm back to my old self... generally in a good mood and also optimistic. The good thing is that I feel like its going to last. Ya sure, there are a lot of things I still need to figure out... but I've certainly got time.
In other news, Valentine's Day is tomorrow. I don't exactly have someone special to spend it with in the traditional sense... but I do have 16 bajillion friends who are certainly very special. How's that for friggin optimism? I will probably wear a red sweater, in honor of the color red, of course.
Also my daddy called me this morning to "check up on me". I'm not sure what this means. My dad never calls me. He's more of an email-er. My mom called last night and I talked to her for awhile so I dont know why he called today. I was happy about it though.
