i'm going to marry a carrot
had a really nice, short but sweet, homo vacay. most distressful moment, was that carolyn and i hit a deer as we were driving to buena vista. fucking scary. as a whole, the situation was probably the best it could have been (although not having the incident at all would have been a tad sweeter). i wasn't going super fast (under the speed limit in fact), had been able to slow down a wee bit in the split second, seems like the deer was able to run and jump post accident, no damages to andie's car, and caro and i are fine. so scary and shocking though. we had been driving down 285 and it was so dark with not very much lighting and all of a sudden i was yelling in the car and there was a deer on the hood and then it was gone. after we pulled off the side of the road we crossed the street to see if we could see it. we saw a bunch of deer running away, so we assume that "our" deer, was also able to run away. ugh, traumatic. and i take this as a sign that my meat eating habits need to be put to a stop asap.
but when we finally got there, so nice to hang out with pals, relax and laugh.
after getting home, got sammies from fat jacks, got stoned and a little giggly, drank an excessive amount of orange juice, and watched "she's the man" and "mad hot ballroom". post movies, lots of commentary, but all i could think of was that 80's movie, "just one of the guys". if you have or have not seen this, can we rent it? i believe "she's the man" might be the millenium remake. also, the kids in mad hot ballroom were totally amazing. but if i have to hear one more person saying "ladies" and "gentleman" like it's so charming, or any more reasons why being a homo isn't absolutely fabulous, i might puke a little or punch you in the face depending on my mood and what else has happened that day.
that's it. i'm feeling restless and a little bored. but i just got some new books, so i'm gonna go read.
