Yay, it is a four day week! Even though I didn't have school on Monday, it still managed to suck.
So here is Monday: babysat for my sister all day. Around two, her friend Anna who lives up the street called and asked if Maeve could go to her house. I said ok, just stay there because I have to go to the dentist at three. She said ok. I go to the dentist, learn that I have to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed before summer, and come back. Dad gets home around 5 and askes where Maeve is, so we can go out to dinner. I call Anna's house, no one home. I walk up there, no one home. I come home and get into all kinds of trouble with Dad. Maeve saunters home around 6, apparently they went to the furnature store with Anna's dad, who I now want to about kill. Maeve aught to know to call me so I know where she is. And if she doesn't know better, Anna's dad should!!! *fumes* Dad was pissed. I talked to Mom, and she sided with me. Go Mom.
School was ok. I got a 98 on my pre-calc test! That was the easiest chapter ever. Yay. Completely bombed my French test. And the worst part is, I thought I understood it!! Je suis bete. Mme wasn't angry though. Sometimes I think she can read minds. At least my mind. I guess we are a lot alike in some ways. We *insert London accent* "wear our hearts on our sleeves" as she says. I have more respect for her than anyone I know. She watched her daughter die of a brain tumor, and now her son Simon (who is a friend of mine and a really great guy) needs heart surgery before he graduates because his tricuspid valve (in his heart, for nonbiology people) only has one flap instead of three. She has more courage than anyone I know, because she still greets each day with a smile. Je vous aime, Mme!!
My buddy Jamaal came back from Indiana today. I called him Saturday to make sure he didn't cut his hair off (his grandmother was going to make him before he went to the college interview) and he was rather brief. Turns out it was because the guys in the frat he was visiting were drunk off their asses, and he "didn't want his sweet girl to hear it". Apparently it was....yeah. I laughed. He said it was pretty funny. I love Jamaal. Not like that. He is gay. But he is the best substitute older brother that I could have. I will miss him soooo much when he graduates this year. :(
We reinacted the battle of Gettysburg in history today. No you are never too old to do that. And I led a successful Union calvary shield. Yay!! Also, in intermurals today, we did dodgeball. I'm on Melissa's team with Seana, Tiffany, Mrs. Carr, and Baxter (who didn't show up). We got our asses kicked again, but it was fun.
