a tribute to summer

this is a li'l poem i was inspired to write... it's for all my friends heading off to school soon (all you special friends out there) ... this has been one of the best summer's of my entire life... i'll miss all of you:

the summer's been great,
but it must come to an end,
my friends are all leaving
it's time for them to begin
a new year of fun
a new year of joy
a new year of laughing
for both girl and boy
so party hard
but study harder
and if you follow this advice
you will go farther...
