summer's here...
... and the time is right, for dancin' in the street... so yeah... i'm officially done with freshman year... boy did it fly by... it seems like only yesterday i was packing up to head down for orientation. but now i'm done with school, exams, and all work for the next three months and that's really exciting... but i must say, freshman year was an absolute blast. i met so many really cool people and had some great times. i finished my last exam at 5 yesterday, and it was a major relief for two reasons. 1) i was glad to finally be down with the humaniteis sequence that i took. it was an interesting class, but this last semester really sucked (i had a similar experience as clay did earlier this term) and 2) the post exams party was great fun...
the night began with a very relaxing dinner at "the orient", a delicious chinesse restaurant in downtown greenville. as a post dinner activity, we went searching for supplies for our late night shenanigans. although we were unable to find any sort of face paint for our our plans, this did not put a damper on our spirits (as it turned out another fellow on our hall had what we needed). we ended up popping in a movie, letting the time pass until we began our exercise. once it was go time, me and two other fellas put on our camoflauge pants and painted our faces and upper bodies to blend into the night. once our surveillance team was in place (the furman police was out in force), the go ahead was given. we then proceeded to fountain-hop all 7 furman fountains... beginning a yearly tradition...
the rest of the night was spent relaxing (sorta -- i had a lot of caffiene)... watching movies... helping a friend write her term paper (which was due that afternoon)... and simply staying up until 530 in the morning (because we could) and having a sleepover...
i'm really glad to be home (except that i don't have a job), but i'll also miss my homies from school...
