30 Days of New Doctor Who | 09. Least Favourite Episode ("The End of Time")
As already noted, this show has certainly had its share of horribly stupid episodes and hateful storylines, but I’m fairly certain that "The End of Time" is the only story that has actually filled me completely with rage. I don’t think there is a single second that I don’t hate. The whole time I was yelling at the Doctor to just FUCKING DIE ALREADY, even before the actual endless death sequence. Jeezus fucking christ. "Endless" is actually a really excellent word to describe most of the awful events of these episodes. The endless death sequence, the endless whining, the endless waffling with the gun, the endless running around a junkyard, the endless discussion of the drumming. AND I HAVEN’T EVEN MENTIONED THE FUCKING MASTER RACE YET. Just such a shitfest, this whole thing. I still can’t even believe it.

30 Days of New Doctor Who | 10. Favourite Scene/Moment ("The Parting of the Ways")
I don’t know if I can adequately express how much I love this scene, and how important it is for the Doctor, and for the show. The whole first series was leading up to this moment. We were introduced to a Doctor who had lost everything, who was born of genocide. It was still his duty to look after the universe, but he had no one to look after him. And then he met a girl so full of light and life, and all of that changed. She became his home. And she saves him. And then he saves her right back. In this moment the Doctor gets to relive the Time War and make the opposite choice.
