Disaster Part 2

Dec 30, 2011 20:07

Yeah, so I was supposed to continue with the last time, but alas, I failed to mainly because of my procrastination. Its not a big thing; I am always procrastinating. The only thing I have managed to accomplish in two weeks of holiday is cleaning an easy chair filled with washed and dried clothes that are supposed to go into their respective racks in the wardrobe. I just cannot bring myself to clean everything up. Its just not happening. Ugh.

But I wish to ring in the new year with clean rooms, at least mine being spotless. Mine needs a ton of work which includes (a) clearing of the table (b) clearing the glass bookcase of stuff we don't need, for example, finished bottles of face packs and protein packs that need to be delivered downstairs but hasn't been happening. (c) clearing the table on top of the bookcase. (d) clearing the bookcase where my books are kept.

On top of it, we keep on buying books, with no place to keep it all. Of course we keep on keeping them in the glass bookcase downstairs which is now under lock and key because of the sheer number of books in them.

Speaking of books, I was completely taken by shock when I saw on Flipkart today that The Tales of Saiunkoku(the manga, not the light novels sadly) and La Corda are available in volumes released by Viz Media. I didn't quite expect them to ever reach India. But they are available here. I can hardly contain my joy.

Of course, the pricing is still pretty steep. The Library Binding editions of La Corda are available at Rs. 1191 a piece. For those who are wondering, that is US $ 24 approx. Pretty much unaffordable, yeah. But there are also other editions that are very much okay-priced in comparision;within Rs 500. Browse here for more. The link is set to new popup window so no worries, click away. ;)

I was asking my sis if its possible for her to buy me one. She said a flat no and told me that if I bought all the books that I desired right now then there wouldn't be any more wishes left to fulfill in the future. So this remains in my wishlist.

Yeah, so the disaster that happened that day was that I set the timing for baking the cake in microwave wrong. As a result it was burnt to a crisp and nothing remained of it other than charcoal. Lesson for life: never be overconfident about cake baking even if you have produced a hundred perfect cakes before.

And I have severe neck pains. Possibly from the pillow. Sis gave me a massage before she went out and I did some neck exercises as described by silverspanda and it has lessened only a little bit. Hopefully another round of exercises will fix it.

Going to feed my children now. Shall typetype later. Ciao.

P.S There's a mood titled 'horny'. Not that I feel so, but was seriously debating of giving it, regardless of the fact that my journal entry bears no evidence of it. :PY
