Good morning everyone. Suprobhat. Buon giorno. Buenos días. Bonjour.
That's four languages, excluding the first one. Most of the people reading this will be able to guess the last three languages.
dipannitab2010 had ordered a book online from flipkart.com: Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Yes, the same one that has been made into a movie starring Julia Roberts. It came last night while I was watching an omnibus of Vampire Diaries episodes. To say that the book is amazing is an understatement. Woman writes like hell.
Okay, I agree. You had a bit of luck on your side, to have lost every single penny and then get it back when your publisher buys the rights of your still-unwritten book, and pays you well enough for you to go and search the Three I's for yourself. But to have the courage to think of starting afresh while setting your mind in order, that courage itself takes courage.
I am currently juggling Satyajit Ray's Joy Baba Felunath and Eat Pray Love. Both are too amazing to be left unread.
I also found out something that seems similar between me and the author; of course to say it in such a manner is absolutely narcissistic, so I will put it this way: I found out that sometimes it may take a lot of courage to pursue something, which maybe for learning a language, or deciding that the person you married was not the one for you, and you have to bring the courage out and follow decisions, sane one decided mostly by your heart and rationalized by your mind.
Before her trip to Italy she takes on learning Italian. Business-wise, of course, it is much more useful to study Spanish or French or Japanese and such, but why Italian? Because you love to speak it, because you want to love to speak it, she says. So simple a thing, yet speaks a million different feelings in one attempt.
Oh, what a book. I am just on page 60 and I am mesmerized, by her usage of the English language and her implementation of sarcasm and just how she weaves her own story in the midst. Must read for everyone. I haven't seen the movie yet, and I am glad I didn't when it came to town. I wanted to read the book first.
Yeah, the music i have on right now is from the movie's soundtrack. But the thing is, I was a big fan of Florence Welch for a long time, and this song has successfully made it's way into my mp3 player. :)
I have an attraction for languages. It will take me some time, because I better attend to the things at hand. I want to learn either German or French when I finish my Bachelor's. And then Spanish and Italian. I am so doing Italian, have been pinning behind it for years now.
By the way, everyone who's reading this, today is the last day to vote for Top 12 in the Panasonic Indonesia Zoom In Beauty contest. To support Nelly, a.k.a,
pinkxpiano , go to the page, click on the Zoom In Beauty tab, click on Vote and then vote for her in the page that comes up. Hers is the first picture there.
I have my music classes today. Gonna practice some more now. I just hope it goes smoothly; once in a blue moon, it goes smoothly. I am gonna be so frustrated if I mess up today: the piece is Auf Flueglen Des Gesanges for Lord's sake! It's my fave!!
Ah, God, I need to stop ranting sometime. My sister and mom are gonna go to Rampurhat to visit my grand-aunt and then to Dubrajpur to visit my uncle and his family tomorrow. And I have plans, just for the afternoon with my cousin sister.
College begins 12th, my teacher informed me. Oh, such joy. :|
pinkxpiano , I hope to hear the good news by the end of this week babe. And lemme know please! :D
I take your leave now. Ciao.
