and then I got my CA driver's permit. And they didn't take my WA ID so I can turn my permit straight to a CA DL so I will have legal ID's for both. Even more hooray!!!
Now I just need to practice, practice, practice. So I can get my DL before Anj goes home so I can drive her to the airport then bring her truck back and then pick her up
Plus once I get my liscence...BOOM...All sorts of advancement opportunities open up for me
Oh I've been thinking about doing the backcountry program here. This would involve moving into the woods for 6 months and doing trail work. When I get out I'll be in the best shape of my life, $6,000 richer (I mean c'mon where can I spend it in the woods?), and...what? complete out of contact with everyone I know (unless they suddenly become letter writers, but I doubt it). It would be a good way to pass the time I have to serve in the CCC. BC applicants are higher quality corpsmembers, and half the highers are internet finds who aren't related to the C's at all. I need to make a decision soon though. any thoughts?
