Today's Music
The other day I was at my brothers and I was watching a documentary called "Before the Music Dies." It really upset me to see it, it was about how todays music is stuid and how people have forgotten about the artists who actually did influence the music. They interviewed a bunch of people coming out of an ashlee simpson concert and theses people said she was a great artist. Finally they asked all of those people if they knew who Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, The Ramones and John Lennon were, and their response was no. It makes me sad that people give todays artists so much importance. The musicians that inspired todays artists aren't even thought of and appreciated and it makes me sad. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of amazing musicians that have come about within the last decade, but none of these musicians have really done anything great and fantastic. Its new and different, but their words don't do as much as these musicians words did. I like a lot of todays music, the music that ISN'T played on the radio, and it just really annoys me that most of the music that is played on the radio basically sucks.
