Concerns about Integrity and Transparency
I'm home sick, with a fever and everything. I never get sick, either, so I feel very confused, and also cranky. Luckily it's Passover so I have the week off from many of my responsibilities, and can freely lie on the couch whining.
(Emails moireach and I just exchanged:
M: Maybe you're allergic to Passover.
A: Matzah gives me a fever!
M: You've got a fever and the only prescription is the blood of a blemishless lamb on the lintels!)
Lately I've been feeling like I need more prompts to write fic or something, so have decided to start up nothing_hip, which is basically a community for using guilty pleasure songs as fic prompts. Multi-fandom, multi-awesome. There'll be one song a week (starting, I think, with Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone"), so if nothing else, you'll get a lot of awesome and embarrassing mp3s. Check out the community info for more details, but you should all play! It'll be good times, and it's low commitment - you don't have to write a fic every week, just when you feel like it. It's a good way to finish up fic that's been hanging around for awhile, or to try out new fandoms, or whatever.
Speaking of Kelly Clarkson, this annual report based on Since U Been Gone made me laugh and laugh. Almost as much as this bar graph about 99 Problems.
Thank goodness there is a new Office episode this week! But to hold you over until then, here are a few recs:
