Things are starting to pick up but so. so. slowly. Every small achievement I think I've turned a corner, then I have the nights I've been having and I think I'm nowhere near. I'm definitely alert now and out of the anaesthesia + morphine fog. Visitors cheer me up. How could you be down with this bunch parading about for you:

The amount of food I've had since the op (so 10 days ago now) would probably constitute one standard meal amount in normal times. I was bringing everything back up and the retching part is so painful it made me petrified to even try eating. But I'm getting there with proper teeny baby steps, ie two spoonfuls of cornflakes for breakfast, 1/8 of a cheese sandwich for dinner, etc.

I've been taking a few steps with a zimmer frame but still need a lot of help. Bloody zimmer frame. lol. Gets me out of bed for a bit.

The nights have been bloody awful, though. Doped up on max medication and still unable to sleep for the pain. I think if I could get a good night's sleep and keep building up my appetite, I'd start coming on in leaps and bounds. They found a blockage in one of my drains which may account for some of the pain so it might improve now that's been flushed.

It was a whole week before Paddy could come to see me. He's being as good as gold for my mum. So I'm told. lol. Little duck.

I hope this reads ok I'm a bit spaced out like. :)
