Given all the negativity coming from many comments on movie and pop culture sites, I had a hard time thinking about what Seth Rogen's The Green Hornet would be, exactly. Early this morning (around, like, 1:00) I got my answer: overtones of Pineapple Express with shades of "post-Dark Knight superhero flick" - a style that I think fits Rogen's acting quite well, and makes it a little different from usual superhero movies. It focuses a lot on Britt Reid's (Rogen's character) budding relationship with Kato (Jay Chou), a weapon-building genuis with a mysterious connection with Reid's recently deceased father (there-for-a-minute Tom Wilkinson).
