First library trip of the summer!

I feel positively invigorated.  Not only have I avoided any and all book-buying like the plague and relations been providing me with vampiric sagas, but I had a great discussion about said saga with a like-minded friend.  To cap it all off, I caught my mother in a library-motivated mood and sought long and hard for some little treasures to bring home.  At first, quite frankly, I was disappointed with the offerings, but luckily I didn't give up hope - and even more impressively, I was rewarded for rediscovering a section of the library I hadn't visited in years.  Now for the list, in order of picking:

Hancock Park by Isabel Kaplan
Burning City by Ariel & Joaquin Dorfman
Legacy: A Private Novel by Kate Brian
New York: Life in the Big City by Will Eisner
The Diamond of Darkhold by Jeanne DuPrau

Park looks like a somewhat superfluous ditty about a teen's life in L.A. - not incredibly original, but fluffy and harmless-looking.  I have a good opinion of Brian, even if her offering does sound like a Gossip Girl knock-off.  Diamond was a great find, since I've read the first three books of the Ember trilogy (I guess this means I'll be posting reviews of them soon).  Burning City sounds so creative, so fun, so brilliant that just reading the inside flap made my heart swell.  New York is a collection of some of Eisner's graphic novels, many of which I've read (but not the ones in this collection, is what I mean).  I have a hard time imagining myself reviewing graphic novels, but I hope that I will begin with this one.
