Yay! Not only have I watched the trailer, I also caught a glimpse of this extremely well-done analysis of how well the movie represents and incorporates the plot, characters, and themes of the books.
The movie stars Michael Cera as Scott, and since I'm not sick of Cera like other people seem to be, I agree with the casting. We also see Anna Kendrick (sp?) as Scott's sister at the very end, who has a very funny, apropro line at the end. For some reason, she seems to be giving off a Kristen Wiig vibe. I don't know the actress who plays Ramona - perhaps she's a new find? - although I wish that she wasn't quite so slim, as Ramona in the books was rather wider in the hips. But that's a minor complaint.
Also, the sixth and final book comes out this summer, a month before the movie debuts in August! Incredible. I'll probably end up pre-ordering it as an early birthday present. As for the movie ... I'll wait and see for now.
