"i think you're going to get lonely is all"
okay so 4 finals done, one to go.
all except for 4 people from exchange are done. 4 have already left the country, almost everyone else will be gone by Monday.
i've been okay though, I can't really explan how i feel right now, sort of just in a fog, i'm just hoping it clears sooner rather than later, i want to see the beauty in the last few days here but right now its all so uncertain.
after the exam that took all afternoon i headed back and got changed in a hurry for the final night out in manchester. by final i mean it was a universal everyone get drunk because we've been taking finals for four weeks and now (most of us) are leaving and when we get home won't be 21 sort of deal. i headed to Dans and got my first true indian kaabab (i dont kno hwo to spell it!) but it was a big deal b/c everyone was confused at me never having them (they're a college staple here b/c there are 500 curry places and twice as many kabab ones) then we attempted a picnic (it was such a georgeous day) i nthe back court lard to Dan's dorm and were sarenaded with the boys blasting techno music from open windows. very amusing, also even though i try kababs can't be eaten outside.
then we got Dave and Jake from inside the dorm and when to Lidl (scetchy cheap grocery store college students shop at) picked up last minute things for the club party theme (scally versus posh, manchester style (scally basically refers to english white trash and pick pocketers and generally scetchy people and posh well i dunno it seems to have its own meaning here)) and then went back to have a few drinks before the club. The californian dan joined us and the boys got all poshed up hilariously so because they all took it to very different levels but the brits will always know they're stuff best especially when it comes to fancy dress (costume) parties. there are a few pictures on facebook to better describe this, but i broke my camera irreprebly last night so that will eb all i'm afraid :(
we sat around for hours making drinks with lidl's scatchy german/dutch/european alcohol and then realized we were super late for the club party and hailed a cab (where i broke my camera) into town. Alot of the exchanges showed up thankfully and it was a pretty good time. however not my finest moments and i spilled wine Dave bought me to go with my outfit all over myself and apparently some random guy who got really upset and started yelling at me (double woops) so i kinda of just gave up on the evening, said a few goodbyes and went home with evelyn marlie nick and emily.
it was good to have a real manchester night and going with english people alwyas makes it more entertaining but it was def my last stand in manchester and i'm not sorry. i will just never be a good drunk i'm afraid. but i do look foreward to a few last shopping and movie trips with friends before they head out and then a last week with both my sisters and my nephew and then HOME. crazy.
on a random note when did i get such international friends?? lindsay is in paris, elyssa is in italy, leah just left for Spain, evie is going to greece, and hailey is going/in Japan. we're so spread out! lol
