Nothing Personal (RIEN DE PERSONNEL). France, 2009
Great movie about corporate world, beautiful in its sharp, as new knife, cruelness. The world where people are nothing more than headcount numbers, where everyone is trying to win in career game and all measures are good as long as they lead to victory.
Stronger, less emotional, better prepared and trained are not always the ones winning the game. Proper connections and being "in the right place at the right moment" is a better chance to succeed than real skills and knowledge.
There is nothing personal and at the same time everything is; and if you are not able to separate yourself emotionally from events happening around be ready to lose it all: job, health, relationships, trust into people close to you.
Nothing Personal was opening Critic's Week at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
Starring: Denis Podalydès, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Mélanie Doutey and Pascal Gregory.
