Today nothing good and nothing bad happened. Maxi told me he`d call me about school at 9:00. I woke up early and sat around reading Into the Wild (FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!!) until 5:00. We went ot the school and talked to the director and I could understand what they were saying!!! Again they asked me if I knew who San Martin is and didn`t beleive me when I said yes so explained anyways. Not everyone from the states is ignorant.
I start school tomorow and I have to dress up. I`m borrowing Glady`s most wonderful old woman shoes. I got a substantial kick out of shining them with shoe polish.
When I got home (so releived cause Maxi is a manic driver. He drove in reverse for blocks the wrong way down a one way street) I didn`t want to bother Lara or Guille cause they have school, don`t know how to contact that incredible girl fromt he party, don`t want to even try communicating with Gergely or Xu over the phone, and don`t want to deal with French or Emma, so tried watching the news. Soemthing about GAza--much night footage of impressionably young soldiers walking through desert. Got the feeling I wouldn`t hae gotten much more out of it if I could have understood the reporters.
I`m starting to feel like I`m at home. Got worried for a moment I`d get bored, then thought of all the challenges I have to tackle: school work, the grencis, classmates...still foolish, still hungry (is that from a cerela box?)
