We have internet access :D
So, first the plane ended up being 7 hours delayed, so that took up most of the day - we went to MCR airport at 5AM, we got to Turkey at 7PM, but since Turkeu is +2hrs, it was 9PM. Then we had to pay for a visa (what?!) and I had to pay twice because the idiot at the desk didn't put a sticker on my passport, and when we went back, he insisted that we hadn't paid. It wasn't that bad though, because it only cost #10, and my mum, for some reason, didn't have to pay. She has an Italian passport, whereas we have British passports, but we're still part of the EU, so I don't really got it :S But oh well.
So, today was our first day - the maintenance guy of our townhouse (rented) is awesome, and he's gonna give us discounted trval on his private boat. With food. So that's good. And the parents of the house owner are lovely, and made us a welcome cake.
We also found out that prices in Turkey are verrrrry expensive. At least, it is where we are.
There are crickets EVERYWHERE, and they are SO LOUD! I didn't get any sleep because of their chirping, and there were roosters continually cock-a-doodle-dooooooo-ing all through the night -_-
Ohh, we have a pool, too. It's gorgeous, but it's also 175cm deep, And since I'm only about 155cm, that doesn't really work out for me, especially since I can't really swim =P
Oh, and my and my mum both nearly collapsed today because of the heat. Not surprising, really - we aren't that used to it, as we DO live in England =P Although we did have a bit of a hea wave in the UK earlier, which was nice.
So, I think this concludes day 1 of my adventures in Turkey.
Ooh, and we flew over Holland, and Germany, and Austria, Bulgaria, and possibly some other countries :)
holiday,
heat,
sleep
