So I no longer believe in love...
My coworker is supposed to be married two weeks from Saturday. She goes to get her marriage license yesterday and her fiancee is not there. She calls and asks if he's alright. He tells her he's in the middle of something and will call her back. She texts him because he was for a few days and she wants to make sure he's okay. He texts her back: I can't believe you're asking me this after the message I texted you this morning. She didn't get one, but she looks through her old messages and sees one she skipped. It read:
"I can't go through with it right now. Send me a bill of what you spent and I'll pay you back."
She calls him back, pissed, but she pretends she didn't get it. She wanted to hear the words come out of his mouth. He said he'd call her back, but instead the coward resent the text message.
This is all coming from a Marine, someone who is supposed to be brave, but doesn't have he nerve or the dissency to tell the woman he supposedly loves that he doesn't want to marry her.
WHY PROPOSE IN THE FIRST PLACE???!!!
