Great Day For Sports

Well gosh,we finally arrived home from church about 1:30 because we helped set up for the church's upcoming rummage sale(and no,we didn't get out of there without buying a few things!). Anyway,I turned on the Bears game and they were comfortably ahead of the Lions so I switched to the Cubs game and my jaw dropped cuz they were ahead 7-0!! That hardly ever happens, though I wish they could have played like that earlier in the season but that's the "Cubs Curse",isn't it??

Since the Cubs were so far ahead and the Bears game was winding down I went back to the Bears for the rest of the game and they ended up maintaining their lead and won 34-7. Go Bears! I was worried that I'd be a jinx to the Cubs again, but I watched the last 3 innings and they ended up winning 11-3. Go Cubs!

The Saints beat the Packers today (yay!) and Ohio State won their game yesterday (my Dad is so proud) so it's been a great weekend for sports--around here anyway!

So now there's a lull in sports-watching for me and I need to concentrate on getting laundry done and getting the kids to do their homework. I think doing the latter is going to be more difficult, though I feel like I do laundry all the freakin' time!

Tonight I still have control of the remote cuz my H works all evening so I get to watch the Cowboys play the Redskins. Not a huge fan of either team nowadays, but I liked the Cowboys when Troy Aikman was the QB and I have never liked the Redskins that much (especially because my annoying college roommate senior year LOVED 'em!) so I will be rooting for the boys from Dallas.

We watched the Bob and Tom Comedy Tour Special last night on Comedy Central and it was a wee bit disappointing because Greg Hahn, who is hysterically funny, only got about 7 minutes of airtime and he deserves way more than that! My sis and I both agreed that he needs his own comedy special! See my previous post on August 14th for the details of his comedy routine as well as the night we got to see him and the rest of the B and T Comedy Tour live and in person.

Gosh,I've managed to ramble again, and was rambling on other people's journals today as well. Oh well, that's how I am--I ramble...alot. Hopefully it's not annoying!

ohio state, cubs, sports, saints
