Worrisome Wednesday
Okay,well,Shawn is sick today. Yup,your turn buddy,so better get to feeling cruddy! Arrrgggghhh! :(
He made it to school this morning but around 9:45 the nurse called to say the teacher had sent him to the office because he had become ill. Oh joy. Kamryn and I drove up to get him,then came back home to see Glenn off to a late night at work.
I hate this about school!! They are fine and dandy-doodles until school begins and then WHAM! they pass around the germs. And it's oh so much fun for ME who has to take care of 'em! Don't get me wrong,I'd do just about anything for my chillins but it gets tiring when one after the other gets sick. 'Course it's been even worse when I've been the one with the bug,or when I've had the bug along with one of the children. Oh yes,those were wonderful times!! **!!Not!!**
Well anyway,tomorrow thru Sat. my Grandma is having the second of two garage sales this year (before our church has the rummage sale so we can put leftovers in it if we want) and I have been feverishly getting things out and ready to sell. I hate to say it,but I am putting the crib mattress in as well as the bassinet since my niece doesn't need it anymore and everyone is done having kids as far as we know. (Sniff sniff) Ah well,on to a new chapter in our lives,right? I'm still teary about it,though! :(
EDIT: I just talked to Grandma and the sale doesn't start til next week so now I have to get in touch with my Mom and sister,because I think we all thought it was going to be tomorrow! Grrrrr!! I already have the car filled up,too! Grandma said I could bring it anyway...
So anyway,I need to get going but want to summarize:
--Two heads aren't always better than one: our garbage was delayed a day because of the holiday,so garbage day was this morning,a fact that I forgot until 4:30 this morning cuz these holiday weekends always get me confused and I have no idea what I was thinking last night. I knew what day it was but for some reason was thinking we still had an extra day. Garbage Matters were further complicated by the fact that we forgot to take the mowed grass out of at least one of the three garbage cans we had filled late last week so I didn't have a can for garbage. I just took out the recyclables and one can of grass (the other two were in the backyard by the shed and with all the icky night spiders potentially out and about I didn't want to go to the backyard. *lol*)
--The Cubs lost against the Dodgers again last night (6-2),though not as bad as they did Monday (11-3) so I can only hope something changes so they can hold on to their 1st place position. This isn't the time to be slipping,guys!
--I have long finished HP6 and have tentatively begun HP7. Yes,I am way behind,but I'm the patient type who can take it slowly and savor it. *lol* I am on Chap. 9 and think it's somewhat predictable,but so far so good. :)
Well,I need to go see if G'ma & G'pa are home again so I can take the sale stuff over to their house (they were gone earlier) so I had better go.
