Glenn was up and at 'em fairly early, and I was thinking he was getting ready for work only to discover that while yes,he has to go in until about 11 or 11:30 he doesn't have to work "all weekend" like he vaguely answered me the other day. Grrrrrr!!! Jeez O'Pete, tell me specifically so I know!!
Have you ever been mentally and/or physically prepared for the day to go one way and then it goes completely opposite of how you had planned?? That's 'today' for me.
To top it off Erin ended up having a fever last night (deja vu) and was feeling better this morning so I was going to keep quiet and take her and the other two to church this morning but alas, she started feeling crappy again so she is currently lying on the couch watching Lion King 1 1/2 (I really should go watch with her). I called my Mom (on her newly restored TracFone thanks to me *lol*) who was already en route to church (I figured as much) and asked her over her blaring Shania Twain CD if she could pick up Shawn and Kamryn on her way. They actually wanted to go to church, and I am very happy! Well, for a selfish reason, too: the house is quiet!! *lol*
I had put Kamryn in her Easter dress to give it one last hurrah, with the intention of Erin and I wearing ours as well, and obviously we aren't,but Kamryn wanted to wear hers anyway (I pleaded with her to wait til next week to no avail) so the parishioners might experience their own deja vu next Sunday when we show up in our Easter dresses and Kamryn is wearing the same thing. I had wanted us to all wear them together;another thing that has gone awry today.
I just hope Erin feels better before long, because I want to be able to see Grandma tomorrow and don't want to be paranoid that we'll get her sick. At her age she's been through alot and has come through with flying colors, but it'd be my luck a slight fever caught from my kids'd do her in. Horrible thought! :(
To quote the lovable Homer Simpson, this sums up my day so far:
Hope everyone else has a great day! I'm going to try to make mine better...
