"Spring is Here,Spring is Here,It's the Best Time of Year"

Today reminds me of the cute little song Lola sings on "Charlie and Lola",thus the title of this post. ;)
The girls will be home shortly due to a shortened day so I don't have much time but want to say hello. The weather is absolutely GORGEOUS,making me wish I could be outdoors but alas,household duties call...
I went to the grocery this morning because the girls are getting home over two hours earlier than normal,and spent a little more than I was hoping but I bought things like peanut butter and butter that I don't buy all that often,plus a $10 pack of pork loin chops and $8 hamburger patties so I really shouldn't feel surprised. Besides,I used coupons again and saved an additional $6.75,including a coupon for a $4.10 LaChoy meal that gave it to me for FREE. Can't pass that up! ;)
I also saved $19.08 with the Kroger card and bought some "cheapie cheap" stuff so I didn't do too badly.
Well I need to get going. The last few evenings I have been working with Erin on a report (and an accompanying map) about Ohio (!!) and it...has...been...tedious,so I am writing it myself because even with Wikipedia at her fingertips she has NO IDEA what to write anyway,and I have been essentially writing it for her as it is. I really don't think the teachers have gone over how to read something and take the most important points from it (in your own words,of course) to make a report out of it. In addition,the concept of "research" is beyond 3rd graders...at least MY 3rd grader! *LOL*
It's due tomorrow so we have to get a move-on with it! ;)
