Monday Blues on Friday Again
Fridays are just not good to me anymore. I think by the time the week is almost done I just poop out and become forgetful.
This morning it was a chore getting Shawn out of bed, and then I had to scrounge up $2 (I ended up with eight quarters--we just don't much physical cash around with those darned debit cards we use so often) to send with him for a field trip to see a theater production of Peter Pan next Friday and I managed to remember his library books AFTER the bus had already gone. Arrgghhh!
On top of that I don't have a car I can use (don't have keys to the Camaro) so I had to call my Grandparents to see if they could take his books up to the school. I hate having to do that! Thankfully they were on their way to run some errands so they picked them up and took them up to the school. Thank you G and G!! Even if they hadn't been going anywhere they would have done that for me,but it made me feel better knowing they were headed out somewhere anyway.
We need to car shop! The Cams on it's last,er,well,tire!
Hubby and I had this big argument/discussion (after the kids went to bed;we got to bed around 1!) the other night about him helping out more and me feeling resentful that he doesn't etc. etc. and he was off yesterday and we still didn't get alot done. We could have gone car shopping (and maybe taken some test drives) and we didn't do that. He is hell-bent on selling some of his AutoZone stock too (it's at $100+ per share) and I started on the paperwork the other day but am not sure what I am doing (we did it a few years ago too but I can't remember) so I need his help but we didn't do that yesterday either. He ended up being at work for a little while in the morning and then helped his Mom get her freshly-fixed computer back and running,and did a few other projects for her and didn't get home til almost 12:30 so half the day was gone by then! The kids got home around 3:30 so there wasn't alot of time to do anything. Well,I was working on writing bills and getting Erin's invites written (I did it!) so that took up time too,so I can't totally blame him,but he could have been working on figuring out the stock stuff while I was doing those things,and what was he doing??
Watching TV.
I was running around doing my things and he was sitting on the couch and I was literally thinking yeah,that conversation the other night did nothing. It's gonna take another talk I think...
Well,not much else. I have to go put the finishing touches on Erin's invites so they are ready for the mail. Oh,and I was asked what theme we have this year,and she (and I) decided on Tinkerbell. The party store has a bunch of really cute themes (Disney Princess,Cinderella,Barbie,Hello Kitty [we've done that one already],etc.) so she was having difficulty deciding and asked me what I thought she should get. We both like Tink so we decided on that. I usually make their cakes (about the only time I bake but I'd like to do it more!) so I have to decide how to go about it. Anyone ever seen a Tinkerbell-shaped cake pan??
Well anyway that's about it. I'd better go as it's getting late already and this house is a mess (well it is to anal-retentive me anyway...)
