Happy Birthday Sydney!
My poor sister couldn't get the day off (she has a project that was etched in stone today) and neither could my BIL so my little niece is here as usual today even though today is officially her 2nd birthday. I am happy to get to spend the day with her but am sad for my sister,who really wanted to be able to spend the day with her daughter! Well,at least they'll have the evening,and Sydney doesn't know the difference anyway.
My Mom e-mailed earlier and asked if she could bring lunch for us at noon so she can see the Birthday Girl on her actual big day and I said yes of course! I never pass up food! That'll take the "same'ol,same'ol" out of the day,so that's a bonus!
Speaking of birthdays my Erin-girl is turning 6 (!!) in a little over a week and I need to get her invites written. I've been saying that for the past few days and it never seems to get done. I figure everyone knows her birthday is coming,and that we always have a party,so as long as they get the invites by Saturday or at the latest Monday they will have enough notice. The cool thing is that she'll have the day off from school (it's Columbus Day this year) so we can have her party on Sunday (even though football will be on) and then Monday she can play with her new stuff and do whatever she wants. That'll be neat!
Well best go. Have to see if Mom has emailed me back about what she wants to get for lunch today! :)
