Okay,so I finally remember a dream that I had last night, and I have absolutely no idea what it means (perhaps I can figure it out as I go along) but here goes:
I don't know who I was living with (I guess it was my family but they weren't in the dream at all) but I had a small white two-story house (though my real house isn't white nor is it a two-story) and it was right next door to a Disney Store. The really weird thing was that the other houses on the block had been undergoing dramatic re-construction and were all darned-near castle size. The house on the other side of the Disney Store was currently under construction and the owners had moved the house far back on their rather large lot, and it was huge (like another castle)and they were building this huge tunnel thing going up to the door of the house. The tunnel looked like a rib cage (weird) but was more round, and it had two off-shoots, one going towards their neighbor, and one to my house. There was a huge gap underneath the tunnel (maybe they were moving it into place) and my mailbox was on the slab the tunnel was on,so I couldn't get to the mailbox because I had a bunch of stuff in my arms (dunno what) and would have had to climb up to the tunnel thing to get the mail.
Anyway,I stopped to talk to the manager of the Disney Store and said that I sure don't get over there very often, which is weird because I love Disney stuff (especially Eeyore) and it's right next door! She said that I was more than welcome to stop in anytime, and that one of the customers currently there usually came in every week just to look at the new stuff and usually spent several hours doing so. Sooo, then I woke up.
I am thinking that the whole episode has to do with the shopping I had done for my niece's birthday party yesterday. On Saturday I went to Target (my usual haunt) and the party store to get invites and other party supplies for Erin's party that will be coming up here in a mere two weeks and mentioned to my Mom,who shopped with me,that I just don't get out much. I wanted to go to JCPenney's too, but we ran out of time and I mentioned that I haven't been to the mall (where JCP's and the Disney Store are) in forever, despite the fact that the mall is less than a mile from our house (!!).
My niece's party was very nice, and was held out at my sis and bro-in-law's,and perhaps I was having some house-envy (thus the dream castles). They have a pretty house on a large lot in a small country neighborhood and, counting their nice finished-off basement,it's probably three times the size of ours and they have one child whereas we have three. They've been remodeling and re-doing many different things (where they get the money I don't know, but my sis' FIL is pretty handy) and I admit it just makes me a bit jealous. We have lived here for 8 years now,and really haven't done nearly as much as they have, and they've only lived in their house for a little over two years! They have a jacuzzi in their master bath that was put in by the previous owners (we have one decent-sized bath) plus the shower, plus they have a second full bathroom too, something we definitely need! I know a few other people who have very nice pads, and maybe I am feeling a bit jealous. Plus I never get out! I have a car today but I need to do laundry (I had to do the take-it-out-of-the-laundry basket-and-fluff-in-the-dryer routine this morning so Erin would have a uniform to wear--I feel terrible!)
and have Girlz Nite Out tonight (we are eating Chinese tonight--yum!) so maybe today wouldn't be the best time to go shopping. Oh and I have some bills to write and Erin's invites to write out too darnit!
Oh well, that's my dream and that's my interpretation so maybe I should go now. I need to clean something and maybe I will feel better about my house. It's really nice and I love our flowers outside, and the girls' room is cute (I'm proud of it!) and the living room looks nice too. We did alot with the kitchen but it needs more, and we'd like to do something with our full basement but that takes money and time, though the kids do have a carpeted play area down there so that helps.
Well anyway,I'd best go and get started on stuff. Have alot to do!
