Such a geek

I went to pick up a book which arrived last week by interlibrary loan. It's a translation from the 40s, of Romeo and Juliet, into Veronese dialect (you know, Veronese like "in fair Verona, where we lay our scene..."). I gave my card to the girl behind the desk, and she went and got the book for me, explained when it was due, and handed it to me. I immediately started looking at it. I was almost about to start reading the introduction, there, standing at the circulation desk, when I caught myself. I looked up and announced to anyone who might be listening (mostly to the girl behind the desk), "I am such a geek." There was a moment of surprised silence before she started laughing. "I think we all kind of are," she told me.

The translation is great! Exactly what I wanted, even though I can't really read it.
