Happy New Year~

Like always, I’ve been neglecting my blog quite a bit. 2019 has been a weird year for me, full of ups and downs. For one, as you guys know, my health hadn’t been this bad in a while. The first half of the year was kind of a struggle, with a lot of pain. March and April consisted of me being barely able to leave the house. Thankfully it’s gotten a lot better, though still not that great at times.

One the other hand, this year had a lot of amazing things for me as well. I still love my job and my students a lot. I went on several amazing trips, to Nagoya, Fukuoka, the Netherlands, and Scotland. I got better at drawing. I joined a new sports team, and made many new friends. Some friends came to visit me, which was great. (Even though my health wasn’t really at a state to be a good host ><;;)

I applied for more concerts and stage plays this year, which mostly resulted in me not getting tickets a whole lot. Overall though, I still went to all my favourite groups this year, WEST, SixTones, Kanjani8 (2x), Arashi and Hey! Say! JUMP. Out of those I got arena seats 4 times :O (With the first two not being quite as impactful because of health issues, but thinking back, that was amazing luck.)

My trip to Scotland was something I had really been looking forward to, and despite my health (I fainted there as well) I had so much fun. I really loved it a lot and would love to see more of Scotland sometime. I was only in Nagoya for a short while, but I loved the temple, and I was able to see the castle as well when I went there last time. Fukuoka was great, I really love Kyushu a lot for some reason.

For the next year, I’m mostly hoping that my health will improve. I’m still taking daily medicine, and have weekly appointments with my physical therapist. I’ve only fainted twice since the summer vacation and once was right as I got back from my trip. (It was going really well, until I got an ear infection and I fainted in the bus while going to Tokyo for Arashi).

This past year, or really the last few months, have been really good for my social life, and I’m hoping to be even more social next year. I’ve been wanting to work on that since I was in elementary school, to be honest, but I feel like these last few years I’ve really been improving.

I also recently last week started on an online course by Arizona State University to get my TESOL qualifications, so I’m hoping to get that soon. I was allowed to work on it on my office days during the winter vacation, and so far I got 3 out of 8 courses done. They’re getting more difficult as I go on, though, so I’ll probably get slower anyway. But the general length is 8 months, so I’m going through it really quickly :3 Maybe now I can be more effective as a teacher.

Other stuff I want to improve is; my Japanese I’m too lazy, my drawing, and I want to take better care of my body, instead of pushing it to its limits. which is very difficult for me somehow.

On top of that, I’d like to get back into subbing, which has been a while, and into watching dramas and tv again. Of course I’m hoping to go to a bunch of concerts next year too (with Kanjani and a stage play with Ikuta Toma already confirmed). And for this next decade, I’d love to travel through more of Japan, as well as through Asia. So far I’ve only been to Japan and Korea, but I’d love to go to other countries as well, like China, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

I hope everyone reading this will have an amazing 2020, and I wish you all the very best <3
