So instead of being the hardworking girl I usually am and working for a few hours this morning, I let myself sleep in. It was probably the best decision I've made in a while. I slept til 9, went to Kohl's (and got some hot, but painful, black pointy shoes), visited the sister and the boys in search of a shirt to wear, went to the Y, and finally made my way back home. When I was at Walgreen's I saw one of the displays we made at the factory during last summer, and I had quite the urge to kick the thing....I didn't tho, I still kinda want a job there someday, maybe.
Me and the mother drove downtown for my interview with Hatch Staffing. Let's just say, my interview skills better improve before tomorrow at 3:30, or I'm screwed. I swear, interview questions are ridiculous. "Tell me about a time in your life you encountered a huge obstacle, and what you did about it." I'm pretty sure I ended up mumbling about how I had to skip watching the OC one night to study for a stupid physics test...Yeah, I know. me=idiot. But the lady seemed pretty nice and acted like she'd honestly look for a good job for me. We'll see...
After that we met up with Meg and ate dinner at John Hawk's Pub...excellent (and free). Walking around downtown Milwaukee in my pointy shoes was anything but comfortable, and I ended up taking them off for the walk back to Meg's place. We sat around at Meg's and I tried on clothes for my Burlington interview tomorrow and Meg and my mom planned Meg's wedding. That's right: the sister who dated one guy for 8 years is now marrying a guy she's known for 4 months...but I approve, he's cool. We walked down to Jazz in the Park, which is really just a lot alot of people sitting around drinking alot alot of wine. I was insanely jealous, being the alcoholic I am...By the way: it's exactly one month today since I was last drunk. You should all be proud. Now my head is pounding and I have to work in 9 hours, so I should probably get some sleep. Say a prayer for me for my interview! Good night all
