So I had my job interview today...it was kind of a flop. Turns out, that even though UPS has GREAT health benefits...I wouldn't even SEE them until mid-March. Even though the company lets you have benefits after 3 months, there's a catch.
You owe the mother-fucking union $500 in the first 16 weeks you work there, and $50 every month. You don't pay the $49 a month during the first 16 weeks...BUT you still owe them that money afterwards. So once you finish getting $32 taken out of EVERY paycheck (mind you, my paychecks would be about $85 a week)...you start getting $49 taken out EVERY week until you're caught up on those monthly payments. Then they just take $49 out of your first paycheck every month. LAME.
So yeah....the hours are great, the health benefits are great. The union sucks ass and can fuck themselves.
