Over the weekend, Matt and I did some bumming around. I took him to Louie’s and fed him the best pizza ever known to man… or at least Metro Detroit. After that we went to the mall for a while and then went to the movies.
While in transit, we were listening to a
Muggs song on my mp3 player. When it ended (as songs tend to do) the next song up for rotation was Happy Boys & Girls by Aqua. Matt just started laughing his ass off at my music tastes. What? I like Aqua. And as I told him, everyone needs a little junk food in their musical diet. Aqua is like
Smarties; they don’t taste that great, they’re definitely not good for you, but you eat them anyway.
Later on, after the mall/movie double feature, we went to Baskin Robins to get milk shakes. I will never, ever do that again. They charged $5 for a freakin’ milkshake. I can get a whole gallon of milk for less than that. And the shakes were terrible! I probably wouldn’t gripe about the price if they were comparable to those served at Jack Rabbit Slim’s (see Pulp Fiction) but my “chocolate shake” was just really cold chocolate milk with chunks of ice floating in it. McDonald’s shakes are better than that… and I don’t even think they’re made from real milk and ice cream.
