One of those "This is so going on the blog" moments....
After working my arse off all morning, I headed over to the local public golf course cafeteria-type place for lunch...
I was sitting at the table waiting to be called up for my clubhouse sandwich. I heard it called, headed over, and as I walked past a set of glass doors, I made eye contact with this guy outside having a smoke.
"Geez, that guy looks alot like Callum Keith Rennie from Due South..." I thought.
I didn't think much of it, especially when I saw the kitchen guy had forgotten my side of fries. Buddy apologised and said he'd make them up right away...I laughed, and told him I'd come back for them. At this point the guy had come in and as I walked past him and a couple other guys, I thought, "Man, he really looks like him!"
When my fries were ready, I headed back up, and the kitchen guy had made this HUGE plate of fries..."I only ordered a side of fries, not the Family of Ten special!"
A couple people laughed and I heard this voice behind me go, "You're gonna need some help eating those."
I turn around and it was him! I blushed slightly, since I now knew for sure it was him. I smiled and said, "You volunteering to help?" I turned to the kitchen guy, "Pass me a side plate."
Callum laughed and declined my offer, but damn, was he sweet about it.
He was looking a bit older, well, he is 46 after all, and very scruffy, but those eyes were unmistakable...guh!
I'm just cursing the fact I didn't try to talk to him for longer...pooh.
I think I'll have to add him to my Man-Crush List anyway.
