Mammogram angst at my blog (nothing scary, just a check-up) and, for your reading pleasure, this week's grocery list is behind the cut. Very easy for me to do, because I order online so I just cut and pasted it in ( Read more... )

ooh, right up my kind of lane. I love reading grocery lists.
I have to look at pound vs dollars conversion so it has meaning to me.
M'kay. I've done that and now I can appreciate the list more.

Your grocery list is very typical of ours. Give or take a few changes.
And I've never tried quorn, or red jalapenos! Are they more mild? Or a bit sweet? And I'm trying to figure out what apricot punnet is? I've looked on-line and find nothing helpful.

And sadly, my blueberries and raspberries are frozen rather than fresh :(

We like quorn, it's very versatile, though we try to stick to once a week - I'm dubious about eating too much of any one thing.

The red jalapenos are sweeter than the green - we like them on pizza. And a punnet is just the container thingy that fruit comes in - the little plastic box? They often talk about punnets of strawberries here, for instance.

Oh, and the pound/dollar conversion - at the moment, £1 = $2, more or less.

Mkay. That makes sense. Everything I looked up trying to see what Apricot Punnet was gave me things like Punnet Square and "container"
I was thinking food-- like pastry, or preserves, or some European exotic thing I hadn't ever heard of. heh.

Red jalapenos on pizza sounds delicious. We like red bell peppers (roasted) on pizza. Mmmm.

And eating too much of one thing, you know, I've noticed that I can't keep eating the same thing. I have to eat variety, or I get physically sick, as if my body wants to Reject the food (ina violent way). I think variety is key, too, for health.

what do you eat the honey roasted salmon Flakes as? Or With, I mean?
Some of your foods there are quite costly. Do you find the COL higher there than when you lived in Florida?

This is the first time I've bought them ... We've been taking a tupperware container of salad with us to work for lunch, and I thought if I put some of the salmon flakes in the salad it would make it a bit more substantial.
