At my dance studio, we all do solos every year. Most get the teacher to pick out music, but i wanted to pick out mine, because i want there to be a meaning to it, I want it to be personal. So, I have finally found and listened to a song that i believe is perfect. If any of you have seen the movie the notebook, i am dancing to the main title, the opening piano music. I have had the idea for a while, but i finally downloaded it and listened to it. Its truly amazing. Please if you have a chance, download it or listen to it on the movie. Its simply called the Main Title.
This piece of music, to me, paints a picture of life and death, happiness and pain, love and heartbreak, beauty and grace. And finally, peace. All in 2 minutes and 49 seconds. If I can capture that, or even portray a glimpse of the amazingness of this piece of music, I would be in heaven. It really makes me think of the calmness and tranquility of the ocean, of the rythmic waves rolling in to shore for only a moment before they rush back out to sea. Its all so simple. I don't even want a fancy pretty costume. I don't even want color. Just a plain cream colored dress. No shoes, hair down. Its all so beautiful, and i want to be a part of it. I don't care how any of this sounds. I want to feel and be a part of that tremendous beauty. The song i guess is kinda how i want to be seen. It so huge and amazing and thrilling and powerful, but masked by simple tranquility. Its not out and open for show, but rather hidden, waiting for the right person to come and appreciate it. Its not an item on display, but a hidden treasure waiting to be found. And thats kinda how i want to be. Thats how i want to be viewed. So, again if you have about five minutes to spare, please look up this song and listen to it.
