I lay in my bed, iPod on, blocking out the sound of the storm outside. Once i thought the ceiling was boring, i turned to my side. Frustrated, I stood up and stormed out of my room. I yelled out to my mom that i was going out.
"dont forget to take a jacket!!" I scoffed. Obviously.
When I exited my house, a gush of wind slapped my face. The cold was already numbing my fingers. I proceeded to walk. I took out my phone and called all the numbers i knew. Everyone was busy today. I sighed and walked into a cafe.
"Coffee please, black." I shuffled through my pants looking for my wallet. I paid the lady and waited for my drink. At the corner of my eye, i noticed a man taking a picture of his own coffee. He smiled and took another sip. How can he think of drinking an iced coffee in this weather. I averted my gaze to the window and stared outside.
"Saga.. ?" I left my seat and got my coffee. I went over to the table and poured some sugar and cream. While i was mixing it, i looked at the man, curious of what he was doing now. I noticed him getting up and saying bye to the employees and leaving, and i also noticed him not wearing a jacket. 'What a loser' i thought. I left the cafe and made my way to the park, the short cut to my house. I decided that i didnt want to go home so i just sat on the bench and let the rain soak my body. I lifted my head and closed my eyes. My coffee starting to get cold.
I soon woke up. It was still raining, but i wasnt getting wet. I looked up and noticed an umbrella over my head. I turned and saw that guy. He was reading.
"Uhm... can i help you?" my confusion speaking for me.
"Actually, i think i helped you. You were soaking so i decided to cover you til you woke up, but since you are awake, i guess ill leave." He smiled and i noticed how adorable it was, his faced shined through the dark clouds. He proceeded to get up and he grabbed his umbrella.
"thanks" i mouthed. he chuckled and picked up the rest of his stuff.
"no problem, i was happy i helped." He began walking away. I reached my hand out but i missed, so instead i called out to him.
"Hey!" He stopped and turned around. A smile still plastered on his face.
"Yes?" the 's' seemed to never end. I looked at him, i called him out of impulse, i didnt know what to say. He laughed.
"Nao." He left. My heart was pounding in my chest. I wanted to chase him. Once the sight of his yellow umbrella left my eyes, i made my way home. When i was once again on my bed, with my clothes changed, i noticed my coffee gone. I scratched the back of my head. When i was at the brink of slumber, my phone rang. I checked the caller ID, but the number was unknown. I held it to my ear and whispered a hello.
"Thanks for the coffee" once i heard that voice a smile came to my face.
"Any time."
