Synopsis: Mary Ann is trying to find her true love, but her mother gets in her way [im not good with this stuff]

After dinner was prepared, she walked out of the kitchen with plates in her hand, serving the guests.
-"Sakamoto, your daughter is amazing ! I bet she'll grow up to be a wonderful wife."
-"Shinji, don't flatter her, look, shes as read as these tomatoes in our salads."
-"Thank you for your kindness Mr. Sakamoto, father I need to go to the store to retrieve some beverages, It seems we are out for our guests under 21 years of age."
-"Yes yes of course, do you have money?"
-"Of course father, well then I'll be going now."
-"Takanori, why dont you go with her, Its not proper for a young lady to be out alone" Karin stepped in.
-"But-"
-"Takanori, listen to your mother"
-"Yes father"
He gets up and follows Mary Ann to the front door. They began to put on their jackets and shoes and Mary Ann's mother comes in.
-"Mary Ann, I want you back in 30 minutes, no more that that. You need to set up dessert."
-"Yes Mother"
They leave the house. Once they were a safe distance Ruki spoke up.
-"Whats with your mom, she seems like a real bitch."
He took out a cigarette and lit it.
-"She wants to teach me to be a proper lady, and when I get married, my husband would be pleased"
-"Speaking of marriage, did you know they're setting us up?"
She stopped.
-"Excuse me?"
-"Yea, we have to marry eachother"
-"You arent joking with me right ?"
-"Actually yes, I'm joking cuz you know, I love joking about marrying some stranger i've barely met"
-"Oh ok."
She puts her hands to her chest and sighs in relief. Later she continued walking, he scoffed.
-"Hey, I was being serious, why do you think my mom told me to go wit you ? for kicks and giggles ?"
She just stood there, her face expressionless. She slowly turns to face him, her mouth opening but no words came out.
-"aww little Miss Perfect looks surprised, what did you think you'd grow up and marry someone you love, like.. like a happily ever after? no ! you cant, and neither can I. Just goes to show what kind of messed up family we have."
-"B-but what about-"
-"The ones we love, oh well, better go say bye to them cause you wont be able to see them any longer."
Like Mary Ann, Ruki had tears building up. Once he saw her free hers, he followed and released his. She walked to him and hugged him, staining his shirt with her tears. They stood there holding eachother and crying. He pushed her back.
-"Hey, since, you know, we're in this situation, wanna try to like, have me as your boyfriend ? maybe in time we might eventually grow something for each other."
She looked at him, dry tears on her face. Without words she nodded, then laid her head on his chest.
-"Uh, Mary Ann, can i ask you a question?"
-"yes you may ruki"
-"Can i like, kiss you ?"
Her face was filled with shock, she never kissed a boy before, and she always wanted to try it.
-"Yes you may"
He smiled, not a full smile, but a crooked one. She blushed and closed her eyes, tip toeing. He observed her face, cute was the only adjective he could find that suited her. He leaned in. It was a small kiss, not exactly a peck but almost like it. He pulled away and coughed.
-"I think we should be getting back, and about the drinks... we'll just say we drank it on the way home"
He proceeded to walk, and she followed. He slowed his pace and was walking at her side. He slid his hand down her arm and entwined their fingers. she blushed, her mind still lingered on their kiss. She felt the butterflies but decided not to say anything.
